About the role

• Managing financial operations for various departments within St Ives.
• Supporting the annual budget process.
• Ensuring compliance with Income tax, FBT, and other statutory obligations.
• Providing timely and accurate financial information to varying stakeholders.
• Overseeing day-to-day financial transactions.
• Preparing and analysing financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Conducting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Finalising annual financial accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Mentoring and supervising junior accounting staff.
• Staying updated with accounting regulations and best practices and providing guidance and recommendations for improvement.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and time management skills. 
• Friendly disposition with the ability to maintain stability under pressure and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and have great time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting, taxation principles, and current developments.
• Current National Police Clearance is essential.
